I know everyone has different opinions on Astrology. I don’t think astrology has all the answers, but I do like looking at some aspects of astrology for fun. On www.astro.com I came across something that said “Astro-Click travel.” Basically it will point out areas of the world which are good for you to travel to, and which ones will be more challenging to travel to – it’s traveling using astrology. I thought I’d list a few places I’ve been to (and a couple I want to go to) and report out what they say – and my opinion on it. This is just for fun, and shouldn’t be taken too seriously… except any time something good is said, and then it’s 100% accurate.
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
This is where I was born and currently reside.
The gist of what Astro.com says – basically it tells me this is a good place to experience happy times with my family. It also says it’s a good place to start a home, and to delve into the past. I can study topics that interest me here, and I’m at peace, or something.
My response: Pretty accurate. I was born and raised in the Edmonton region. Most of my family lives here, and I don’t have any huge family issues. This will always be a place I feel comfortable to return to, even when I move somewhere else. the studying thing is pretty accurate since I’ve gone back to school. I’m usually at peace here, except maybe when I’m driving in rush hour.
New York City, USA
I took a trip here in August 2006, and June 2010.
The gist of what Astro.com says: Apparently this is a good place for artistic and creative people, but there’s a chance I could become too materialistic and focus on status here.
My response: A little hard to say. As a creative person I definitely love New York, but I’ve certainly never tried to get discovered here. Maybe New York will be a great place to boost my writing career, or maybe not. I have a hard time believing I’d become totally materialistic, but maybe it’d be different if I had enough money to focus on stuff.
I spent a few days here in September 2008.
The gist of what Astro.com says: I’ll experience changes here, very gradual, almost unnoticeable. It’s a good place to feel removed from the ordinary. I’ll put a lot of trust in a higher power. On the flip side this could cause me to trust some untrustworthy people. This was the same for a few other European cities I visited like Paris, and Amsterdam.
My response: Actually this is pretty accurate. This was the trip helped me to quit my job in hell (airport screening), which I did as soon as I returned. I don’t know if putting my trust in a higher power is right, but this was a very go with the flow kind of trip. My travel motto was, why not? If I happened to be by the National Portrait gallery, why not go inside? If I was hungry, why not go inside this nearby restaurant, or pub? It worked good. I didn’t get scammed by anyone, or conned by anyone.
I will be going here for a family Wedding in May.
The gist of what Astro.com says: Apparently this area (for me) is one with lots of power and energy, and this could cause some big changes for me. If I try to escape this, it could lead to more stress, and rash decisions. I might have to deal with my shadow side.
My response: That was interesting. This will be the first time I take a big vacation with my extended family, so there may be some disagreements. As long as I have some solo time I’ll be okay. I’m not one for making rash decision either, so I can’t see how that will come into pay (unless it’s choosing what to eat for dinner or something like that). Dealing with my shadow side? I hope, perhaps I’ve been watching too much Dexter I promise my shadow side is not a serial killer) but that doesn’t sound like me.
I’ve never been here, but it’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit.
The gist of what Astro.com says: This is apparently one of the best regions in the world for me to be. I’m self-confident, happy, independent, loyal… and some other good adjectives continue. The only downfall is that I might be tempted by food and gain a few pounds.
My response: Maybe it’s just because I’ve always wanted to go to Morocco, but this makes me want to book a flight right away. And a few pounds is nothing to lose sleep over. One day I’ll find out if this prediction is correct.
